Pakistan Schedule For Siri-Lanka World Test Championship – WTC Tests Announced
Pakistan Schedule For Siri-Lanka World Test as a part of the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23, Pakistan is scheduled to travel to Sri Lanka to compete in a two-match test series beginning on July 16. In preparation for the WTC23 series, Pakistan will visit on July 6 and play a warm-up game in Colombo that will last for all three days.
In the World Test Championship, the outcomes have been all over the place for both teams so far. After losing to West Indies by the score of 1-1, Pakistan bounced back with a good performance against Bangladesh. They, therefore, failed to win the series against Australia, which they started at home and ended up losing 0-1 against.
Is it possible for Babar Azam to top the charts in all three formats?
After starting the World T20 Championship 23 with a spectacular sweep against West Indies at home, Sri Lanka was given a similar treatment by India away from home. They won the series against Bangladesh with a score of 1-0, but they will face a significant obstacle in the form of the leaders of the table, Australia.
Sri Lanka is now in fourth place in the WTC23 rankings with a point percentage of 55.56, and Pakistan is in fifth place with a point percentage of 52.38. The two teams are practically tied for first place in the WTC23 standings.
However, with Sri Lanka playing Australia in two Tests before their match, there is a good chance that the standings would undergo significant shifts before the match.
Since 2015, Pakistan has not competed in a test series on Sri Lankan soil, therefore this next tournament will mark the team’s return to the island nation.
The series was won by Pakistan with a score of 2-1, and they did it in some fashion. In order to win the series, Pakistan needed to score 377 runs in their fourth innings, which remains their biggest successful chase in the annals of test cricket. The series was poised 1-1 going into the fourth innings.

- 16 to 20 July: First Test – Galle International Stadium, Galle
- 24 to 28 July: Second Test – R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo
